Saliva Test Collection

Guidelines on fasting, rinsing, timing, and shipping conditions for saliva sample integrity.

Preparation for patient

No need to stop any medications or foods.
1 hour before collection: Do not eat, brush or floss teeth, use mouthwash but can drink only water during this time.

Write the information; Name-Surname, Date of birth, Gender in the requisition form.

When ready to collect the saliva, rinse your mouth with drinking water. Discard the saliva if there is visible blood and collect when there is no bleeding.

Fill the collection tube to the designated level (each tube 3 mL)

Write your name, date of birth, and collection start time and collection stop time and the date of collection on the labels provided.
